I was looking to expand my business with a raspberry Pi based product so I decided to make a custom circuit board for it. I wanted to make a Raspberry Pi for my son, my grandson's and even my granddaughters. I wanted something that would be easy to use and customized. My goal was to create a Raspberry Pi custom Pcb with a neat layout that incorporated all the features my Raspberry Pi was offering.<br><br><br>There are some good guides online to follow in order to make a Raspberry Pi Pcb. The process is pretty simple, all you need is a good plan (or flow chart) to guide you through the whole process step by step. I looked online for a good guide but I didn't find one that I could simply follow the step by step that would not make me lose my train of thought. I needed a visual example of what the raspberry product looked like so I drew one up on my personal computer using my own image editing program.<br><br><br>After my little computer graphic design adventure, I then began to figure out what type of raspberry boards I wanted to make my own Pcb. At this point I also wanted a good step by step guide with pictures to help me create the final product. I went online and searched for "Raspberry Pie 2 On Custom Pcb" and I found several designs to look at. But this just was not cutting it for me. I needed a design that had a close resemblance to the raspberry 2 design and was going to be functional.<br><br><br>So after my Google search came up empty, I turned to the makers of raspberry and got a really good design from them. Then I simply took the photo and went to work. I cut out the areas that were not needed and created what I called "dead zones" to where the raspberry pie would not go or what was on the back of my mind at the time, dead zones. I then put the raspberry boards into the holes and created a back panel to make it look more complete. This gave me a really great looking finished product and I can't say I regret doing it.<br><br><br>The other thing that I did differently than most people when designing a Raspberry Pie 2 on a custom Pcb is that I wanted a clear screen. I know that some people want their raspberry Pis to be hidden away in a drawer so they can still keep an eye on what's going on with it.
