intimidating police and using offensive language at the Jack Evans Boat Harbour in Tweed Heads on January 16<br>Mr Garratt argued that a conviction would affect Haas' ability to play rugby league, a last year after defamatory material about him was posted by online trolls. <br>Siebold was under siege at the time for the woeful on-field performances of the usually successful NRL team.<br>'A lot of people just don't understand that they are constantly committing offences by [disseminating this] online,' Mr Garratt said at the time.<br>Mr Garratt in 2019 told the Gold Coast Bulletin he decided to become a lawyer while still serving in the army, after he saw fellow soldiers involved in a shooting in which an Iraqi family were injured 'hung out to dry by our own chain of command'.<br>He left school in Year 9 but managed to graduate in law with honours, motivated by people telling him he wasn't smart enough to complete the degree, including his father, a fellow veteran.<br> Mr Garratt of cases that I see in criminal law now,' he said. <br>'It's given me a good basis for having to put on that suit of armour when you are dealing with clients who have allegedly committed serious talented but erratic star signed a one-year deal with the Rabbitohs on July 30, but that could now be in jeopardy after the incident in Brisbane.<br>Fa'i and Milford have two daughters, Aaliyah and Ariana, and were to depart Brisbane for Sydney where he would join his new team. <br>The contract was due to commence in mid-November, and any suspension handed out would be served with Souths.<br><br>In 2019 the NRL introduced the no-fault stand-down policy - suspending players faced with serious criminal charges with a maximum jail term of 11 years or more.<br> Milford, 27, has the charges.<br>The Broncos disavowed any responsibility for Milford as his contract was over and effectively said the case was not its problem.<br>'Anthony Milford has completed his contractual
